[Announcement] Some words about Fair Play & Recent Enforcement Actions

Dear Florensians,

over the past months, we have repeatedly emphasized our commitment to creating a fair and enjoyable environment for everyone playing Florensia. Part of that commitment is not only establishing clear rules, but also actively enforcing them when those rules are deliberately violated.

As part of our ongoing investigations, we have identified a number of accounts for which we were able to establish sufficient evidence of prohibited manipulation of game-related software or usage of an older client version in order to avoid the restriction limiting players to a single running game client and to launch multiple instances of Florensia simultaneously. Enforcement action has now been taken against these accounts.

The single-client restriction was introduced deliberately as part of our efforts to create a fairer gameplay environment. Circumventing this restriction by manipulating the client, launcher, or other game-related components is not an alternative way of using the game — it is a deliberate bypass of a technical restriction and a violation of our Terms.

We also want to use this opportunity to make something very clear: rules regarding cheating, manipulation, and other forms of unfair gameplay are not merely theoretical. We continue to improve our ability to investigate suspicious activity and verify violations, and where sufficient evidence exists, we will take appropriate action.

Our investigations and enforcement efforts are an ongoing process. Today's actions should therefore not be understood as the conclusion of these efforts, nor should the absence of immediate action against an account be interpreted as confirmation that prohibited activity has gone unnoticed. For obvious reasons, we will not disclose details about our detection methods, technical evidence, or the accounts involved. However, players should not assume that successfully circumventing a technical restriction means that the activity is undetectable, nor should they assume that the absence of immediate enforcement means that no action may follow.

At the same time, our goal is not to punish players for the sake of punishment. Enforcement exists to protect the integrity of the game and the players who choose to play fairly. Everyone should be able to enjoy Florensia without feeling that others can gain an unfair advantage by deliberately manipulating or circumventing systems and restrictions that apply to everyone.

We are incredibly grateful for the community that continues to support Florensia, provide feedback, and spend their time with us. Maintaining that trust also means that we have a responsibility to act when individual players knowingly undermine a fair environment for everyone else.

We promised that we would take cheating, manipulation, and unfair gameplay seriously and take action where necessary. We have remained true to that promise, and we will continue to do so.

Please play fair, respect the rules, and help us maintain a Florensia that everyone can enjoy.
