[Announcement] Clarification of Boss-Handling Rules

Dear Florensians,

due to recurring questions and reports over the past days and weeks, we have decided to clarify an important section of our ruling system before we begin issuing punishments in a situation where a grey area still exists.

The topic concerns the rule under “Gameplay Rules / Environment”, which is currently stated as:

“Boss monsters should be defeated in the area where they spawn, but we allow a tolerance zone. You may kill boss monsters as long as their initial spawn point remains in sight.”

In some cases, the spawn point or pathing area of certain bosses can be seen from very far distances. This has led players to believe it is acceptable to drag a boss across large portions of the map as long as the spawn point remains visible.
However, this is not how the rule was intended to be followed.

We have therefore refined the wording to make the expectation clearer. While “near the spawn point or pathing area” is still somewhat subjective, it implies staying within an appropriate radius. More importantly, we have now explicitly defined the key factor that must be observed: the visibility distance of boss monsters (or their surrounding monsters) at their original spawn.
The updated rule is as follows:

“Boss monsters must be fought near their spawn or pathing area. You may move within a limited radius, but only up to the distance where you would still see the boss if it was standing at its initial spawn or path. Additionally, from your fighting position, the boss’s spawn point or path must remain clearly visible.”

In simple terms: if you cannot see the boss or its surrounding monsters at their original spawn or pathing position, or if you cannot see the spawn point or pathing route from where you are currently fighting the boss, you are too far.

Violations of this rule may result in consequences for you and any other participants. Please also note that any reports made after this clarification will be handled accordingly.

Thank you for your understanding,
Your Florensia Team
