Dear Florensians
We want to give you an update on what we are currently working on in regards to the merge. We finished the groundwork for migrating all characters from the two servers to a new database. We made already good progress as we tested also if everything was copied and transferred correctly to a new server (Spoiler: Looks gooood!) We’re looking forward to giving an update on this front as soon as we have something new to share.
For now, we also have a few frequently asked questions which we will respond to. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask us in the dedicated discord channel.
When can we expect the merge to happen?
As we are still testing if the script to merge the two databases works correctly, we cannot yet give you a fixed date. We will keep you updated as soon as we know more.
Will the servers go offline during the migration?
Unfortunately it is necessary that for the time of merging the servers, these need to be taken offline. We will do our best to do it as fast as possible!
How long will the servers go offline for?
We can’t yet give a concrete estimate, but it will be a long downtime with approx. 24 hours.
How many channels will the new server have?
We are currently planning to have 2 PvP and 1 PvE channel.
Will there be any language restrictions for the channels?
No, there will be no language restrictions. All supported languages are allowed! This includes German, English, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Turkish.
Will all accounts be migrated?
Yes! All user accounts, including steam, will be migrated to the new server.
Will bans of accounts be lifted?
No, if your account was previously banned, it will still stay banned after the merge.
Will my password(s) stay the same?
Yes! Your password will stay the same as before the merge.
Will there be any conflicts with character names or guild names?
There are some weird incidents (around 30 cases) where a character with the same name exists both on LuxPlena and Bergruen. We will reset those names and issue a name change to the respective players. There are no conflicts between guild names.
What happens to players that will have more than 5 characters on their account?
All characters will be migrated to one account. However, Florensia only displays the 5 most played characters (sorted by playtime). Players that will have more than 5 characters will therefore only be able to play with the top 5 for the time being. If you delete a character, the next one will become available immediately (after restarting the game).
If you cannot delete a character, we plan to allow the affected players to create a new account and send us a ticket. We will then change the characters that were previously on LuxPlena or Bergruen to the new account, so that all characters are playable again. This is a manual process and is done in batches and will therefore take some time.
To prevent issues, you can help by deleting unnecessary characters so that you have only 5 characters in total across LuxPlena and Bergruen.
What happens to my account bank?
Items in the account bank in the same slot across both servers will stack. You may have to take the item out and do a relog to access the next item. No item will be lost. The stored money will be summed. If you have an active account bank on LuxPlena and Bergruen, the furthest future end date will be selected.
Will my in-game player shop stay?
Yes, your in-game player shop will stay the same as it is right now. Due to technical issues we will have to rename it to a certain pattern.
Will GiikuGames regulate the gelt / slate market in any way?
No, we as GiikuGames will not intervene in any way with the market of Florensia.
Do I have to do anything?
No, you do not have to directly do anything. However, it’s best to delete all unnecessary characters (so that you do not have more than 5 across LuxPlena and Bergruen). You should also check that your Account Bank has no more than 1.000.000.000 Gelt.
What about the server and channel names?
We decided that there won’t be a server named LuxPlena or Bergruen anymore. Instead we are planning to name them the following:
Server: Hoomanil (Like the great sea of Florensia)
Channel 1: Flandria (PvP)
Channel 2: Pardioc (PvP)
Channel 3: Karanir (PvE)
