It's complicated, in one side, NETTS used to be a very small company, if you want a console comparision I think Clover Studio (now Platinum Games) it's a good one, but with less support and money.

So here comes NDOORS to give a hand, notice how the game updates faster and now we get a monthly game update and weekly cash shop one.

On the other side, NETTS will be using more time (and maybe money) in NDOORS games...

I'm kind of beginning to doubt if they'll fix us at all. Its been 10 months since we were first broken, the only response we ever get is that they're "working" on it. It shouldn't take this long and judging by the the merc nerf, it doesn't take this long. When people complained that mercs were over powered they came out with a fix in a considerably shorter amount of time, whereas, they have done nothing for us. Infact they've made us weaker by making bosses from brenin and up much stronger vs. our skills(I realize they're also stronger vs. other classes, but I don't think its proportional, specifically to "dark" type skills which includes MK skills and shaman skills). So much so that when I boss hunt I rarely use my MK skills because it'll just drain my MP with the only reward being "miss miss miss miss miss." There are numerous other problems that make MKs unbalanced in comparison with other classes, I would be happy to discuss them with someone.

If you are not going to fix our class, at least tell us. I think we're all tired of waiting, and by all I mean the few people that are unfortunate enough to play MKs in their current state. A response from someone who can actually give me a real answer would be greatly appreciated.

I think you have already addressed most of them Latyss. and if not they were in that ticket I sent in 2 months ago, so maybe someone will actually look at it now.

HI there, first of all (as you can see in my signature :P) I'm still pretty new in the game, so my suggestions could easily be completely off-place, neither I had the time (yet) to read the 16 pages of this post, so maybe somebody already contributed with it. But the character MK lured me from the first time I knew about it, and SoS is exactly the kind of skill I enjoy, so I gave it some thinking after reading both this post and the MK guide, and came with this point:

Being a skill developed to compensate the lack of melee power of Int based MKs, how about it worked like this?:

SoS: Increases the PHATK contribution from Int by X%.

Once I thought about it, it looked very simple, so provably is already suggested, but wanted to share my thoughts anyways.

I dont think it will work... it it was a low % like 5% at lvl one SoS and you had 30 int, you only get 1.5 psy att axtra, and it wont improve with the skill up at all

say it was actually 100% at lvl 1, that would mean +30 psy att... that may seem good but at higher lvls... say you up the skill to like... lvl 10... say its 10% per lvl, that gives 200% extra, by now you could have 100-150 int, thats 300+ phs att, alot worse that it would be if we left it as it was now lol

Unless, I read it wrong... then you hace the right to call me whatever XD

actually at a high lvl if it gave +300PH attack that would be better than it is now, now it only gives +143 maxed out. however I still don't think its a good idea, making SoS like that would render str MKs drastically underpowered.

well... no idea was ever as simple as it looked ^^.

The first point, from the first I was thinking in a way to return SoS to what it was at first designed to be: a buff to compensate the lack of PHATK of int based MK. So, even if this first attempt is imbalanced for str based ones, I never intended to boost up them.

As other point, as FFiend stated, this idea could be naively simple, making hard to balance it during the leveling.
And as StryderSW pointed, it would just be a ruin to the str based MK.

So here I come with my "brilliant-yet-bound-to-failure-geniality" V0.2 ;)

SoS: Does exactly (or maybe slightly nerfed) the same as now, excepting: As most of MK skills its real effect is affected by the int stat of the player

This way, Str based could keep the actual PHATK bonus, while the Int based could get the boost they need.

well, another idea for you to dismantle, enjoy ;)
